What is a Hypocrite?

Posted on July 29, 2024 by Kat Wiggins

The best way I can think of describing a Hypocrite is….

A couple finds out their pregnant and starts to share it with friends and family. “Do you want a boy or a girl?” “I just want it to be **Happy** **and** **Healthy** !!”

The baby comes and the parents are so happy that “they” have all 10 toes and 10 fingers and everyone is happy!!

By the age of 3 the child knows that something is not right. The world around them doesn’t seem to make sense, but they are only 3, maybe this is normal.

At age 10, crushes on celebrities start happening. Your little girl hangs up Taylor Swift and you boy hangs up Ryan Gosling. But that’s normal, they are 10.

Prom time, your boy asks out a girl, your girl goes with a boy. Normal, not happy!! But they come home alone and you never see that other person again.

By the time they are 18, they most likely have some type of self harm marks that they have hidden from you. Not Healthy!! Because even though you have ALWAYS said, “You can talk to me about anything!” You don’t ACTUALLY mean anything. You mean anything that lives inside my bubble. So if they do come and tell you anything for example…

– I feel like a like the same sex
– I don’t feel comfortable in my skin
– I think I was born the wrong sex
– I would rather dress in different clothes

Can you swallow your beliefs and hug your child that all you wanted was Healthy and Happy and tell them that it’s ok. That the world will have a hard time with it but I, as your parent will be here for you. Or do you tell them to get out of your sight, this is not how I raised you and I will not support this. When you realize that you are wrong maybe then we can talk!?!
